Three Keys to Mowing Your Lawn Properly

#1)  It is important to never cut more than one-third of the total grass height at any one time.  If your lawn is 4” tall and you want it at 2.5”, mow it at 3”. Wait a few days then cut it at 2.5”.

#2)  There is no need to bag grass clippings as long as there is not an overabundance of them. Clippings that are mulched up will provide nutrients for your lawn throughout the growing season.  Mow regularly and there is no need to bag any grass clippings.

#3)  Remember to blow off or rake up any extra tree debris (i.e. leaves, acorns, etc.) that fall onto your lawn regularly.  Keep your mower blades sharp!
